We offer CLASSES from std 1 TILL F6

Does Rakan only conduct physical classes ?

No. Both physkcal and online classes are offered

Teaching methods

How about the teaching methods ?

We have devised a proven teaching mechanism that helps upgrade student’s exam performance. Emphasis is given to output learning and not merely to input teaching. students participation in class will be prioritised. They are taught to think out of the box . Adequate exercises are required to be done by them. When students face challenges, they are encouraged to brave themselves to ask questions

who are our teachers ?

Rakan’s programmes are handled by a team of dedicatred and very experienced teachers.

Lesson duration

Is one hour per lesson per week sufficient?

Yes. Rakan teachers are highly experienced where they focus on simplifying, summarising, and delivering the essence of each topic effectively.

Public Holidays

Are classes conducted on public holidays?

No. Rakan is closed on public holidays. We believe public holidays should be spent with family, supporting students’ emotional wellbeing and healthy development.

Breaks

Do classes run throughout the year?

Yes, except for public holidays and during the 5th week of the month , otherwise classes run as usual throughout the year.

Trial class

Are there any trial classes?

No, you are advised to enrol your child for a month thus, try out the classes for one month period. A one day trial class may not reflect the true teaching flow and may also affect a student’s performance due to first‑day anxiety.

What are Rakan’s fees like ?

Rakan’s fees are affordable, reasonable and vary according to programmes

Fee deadline

When must fees be paid?

For new enrolment , All tuition programme fees must be fully paid before the commencement of the first class.

However for existing students enrolled in Rakan's monthly tuition programmes, course fees shall be due and payable prior to commencement of the first class of the month or on/before the 3rd day of each month, whichever occurs earlier

Payment Mode

How do I pay the tuition fees?

Tuition fees can be paid through the following methods:

  • Cash payment at Rakan’s counter
  • Bank-in or bank transfer to Rakan’s account

Important NOTE :

  • For new registration, The first payment must be made in full by way of cash or bank transfer prior to or during student registration.
  • For existing students enrolled in Rakan’s tuition program, Subsequent monthly payments can be made via cash AT RAKAN CENTRE OR , bank-in or bank transfer INTO RAKAN’S ACCOUNT

Taxes

Do i need to pay sst or any other prevailing gov tax on top of the tuition fees ?

Yes, if the requirement arises, we will let you know at once and you need to oblige accordingly

Transporation

Is transportation provided?

Transportation is subject to availability. We can recommend the transporter and you have to deal directly with them.

Assurance

Can Rakan help improve a weak student’s performance?

Yes. Based on our past track record , many students who initially struggled or were in the failing category prior to joining Rakan have shown significant and gradual improvement after being guided by our teachers . Some even have progressed to scoring A’s and B’s in both THEIR school and national examinations.

This improvement is driven by Rakan’ Structured academic programmes.

Guarantees

Does Rakan provide any guarantees?

Rakan does not guarantee success, as a student’s performance does not depend solely on Rakan’s teaching system or the teachers’ efforts.

However, Rakan’s programme is designed to help students improve and upgrade their academic performance through proper guidance, structured learning, and consistent support.

Student improvement also requires diligence in revising what has been taught, discipline in completing homework, commitment to focus in class, and the willingness to ask questions whenever they do not understand.
